The Mid-Atlanticís Largest Harp Showroom

FAQS: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you rent harps?  If so, how does your rental program work?

Please visit our page on our rent to own program for more information.  Also, though the vast majority of harps we rent are lever harps, we do occasionally have some pedal harps available for short term rentals.  Please check for availability.

What is the VHC bounty program?

Our flexible trade-up policy allows you to receive up to 90% of your original lever harp purchase price as a credit toward the purchase of a new pedal harp within five years.  The trade-up policy is applicable towards the full line of Camac, Lyon & Healy, and Salvi pedal harps offered at the Virginia Harp Center, Inc.

Do you deliver harps?

Yes.  Our pedal harps are shipped nationally with either ALG, ABF, or Echo freight.  Smaller harps may use a different carrier depending on the size of the harp.  We recommend the harps be insured through the shipping company or with outside instrument insurance prior to shipping.  The cost of delivery will vary depending on the size of harp and destination.  Please contact us for a quote.  Transit time will be approximately 7 business days to most locations.  Please note: extreme hot or cold temperatures will delay transit time.  You will be provided with a tracking number to follow your harp's journey to its new home.

Do you sell harps on consignment?

Yes.  All harps sold on consignment are subject to inspection.  It is our policy that all consignment instruments are completely restrung prior to being placed on the floor, pending inspection and approval.  This can be waived if there is proof of a restring and regulation by a certified technician within one year. If you are interested in selling your harp on consignment, please contact us for more details.

Are your used pedal harps regulated?

All used or consigned pedal harps will have proof of a regulation completed within one year prior to it being placed on our showroom floor, or a free regulation will be offered within one year of the sale date.

Can a particular harp be reserved for me to try?

Yes.  We require a deposit to hold a harp.  You will have two weeks from the date of deposit to make your decision.  The deposit amounts are as follows: pedal harp $250 and lever harp $100.

I would like to try a harp in your other location.  Could it be transferred to the closer showroom?

Yes.  In this case, we do require a deposit to reserve the instrument and a $100 transfer fee.  The transfer fee is non-refundable but it is applicable towards a harp purchase.  You will have two weeks from the date of delivery to the preferred showroom to make your decision.

I need to get my harp regulated.  Do you regulate harps at your store?

We regularly have technicians come through the area.  Please check the regulation schedule for availability or more information.  Also note that all Lyon & Healy and Salvi warranty regulations must be performed by a member of the Lyon & Healy/Salvi Technicianís Guild for the warranty terms to remain in effect.
