Pilgrim Clarsach

The origin of the Pilgrim Clarsach goes back to 1970 when, as the result of a special commission from Derek Bell (the celebrated harpist with the Chieftains), we designed a 34 string clarsach along traditional lines but with high tension stringing.  Borrowing some principles from the orchestral harp, but essentially developed in its own right, the Clarsach is unequalled in its scope for tonal color on the one hand, and the fullest range of dynamics on the other.  By carefully balancing out the forces exerted by high tension stringing, another dimension is added to the capabilities of this harp.

Height:

43 Inches
Weight:
18 lbs.
Strings:
34, high tension stringing
