Introduction to Latin American Rhythms:

The Rhythm is Gonna Get You!

We are thrilled to join internationally acclaimed harpist Alfredo Rolando Ortiz as he guides us through a variety of Latin American rhythms. Building on a simple tune, Alfredo will introduce basic music patterns sure to add heat to your repertoire. Don’t forget to have your harp handy for this hang. With Alfredo’s expertise and guidance, YOU will get the rhythm!

Dr. Alfredo Rolando Ortiz is a renowned soloist, composer, author, educator and recording artist on the Paraguayan harp. He was born in Cuba and emigrated to Venezuela when he was 11. He studied medicine in Colombia, supporting himself by playing the harp. After working in the medical field for several years, he surrendered to the harp, has recorded over 40 albums and is the author of several music books and articles.
