Composer/ Arranger: Frank Voltz

Level: Intermediate

Type: Lever and Pedal Harp

This piece was inspired by a weekend excursion on the Norfolk & Western (N&W) Railway No. 611, a restored Class J steam locomotive, built in 1950 for passenger trains. You can hear the engine sing as you play the slap bass. The piece is very lively, jazzy, and fun to play. This piece generates a happy mood whether you play it fast or slow (and it sounds good both ways). It is in C Major with minimal fingerings and no lever or pedal changes.
